Facebook or Instagram - No pages linked to your account.
Troubleshooting the issue of no pages linked to your account error when connecting to Facebook or Instagram.
When connecting with Meta applications there are several levels of security and permissions.
If you get the error - no pages linked to your account there are a few things you can do to correct this.
1. Fix Permission & Role Issues (Most Common)
If you are unable to manage ads or pages, your role may be too restrictive (e.g., you are an "Analyst" instead of an "Advertiser" or "Admin").
- Check Roles: Go to Business Settings > People in Meta Business Manager to verify your access level.
- Update Access: Ask a Business Admin to grant you "Full control" or "Partial access" to the specific ad account or page.
- Asset Assignment: Ensure your profile is assigned to the specific Facebook Page and Ad Account under the "Assigned Assets" section.
2. Resolve "Not Authorized" / Token Errors
-
If you are using a third-party tool (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout GradientMSP, MSPStudio+) or API, your authorization token may have expired.
-
Re-authenticate: Log out of Facebook/Meta, clear your browser's cache and cookies, and log back into the tool to refresh the token.
-
Remove & Re-add: Go to Facebook Settings > Business Integrations, remove the application, and reconnect it.
-
Use Token Debugger: Use the Meta Access Token Debugger to see which permissions are missing.

3. Security & Compliance Restrictions
Meta may block access if it suspects unusual activity or if you haven't accepted new terms.
-
Enable 2FA: Many errors are resolved by enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) on your personal Facebook account.
- Check "Account Status": Visit Meta Business Support Home to check for restrictions.
- Accept Terms: Check for any pending policy agreements or Terms of Service updates that need to be accepted.
