A step-by-step guide to getting started with the Mesh billing Integration

Note that discrepancies may occur between the license counts displayed in Mesh Security and those reported in Synthesize. While Mesh Security displays the latest license count from the last billing cycle (start of the month), Mesh Security pushes snapshot usage data directly into Synthesize. As a result, there may be differences in the reported license counts. If you have any questions or concerns about these discrepancies, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team for assistance.

For support with this integration, contact Mesh here: 

  1. Login to Synthesize and navigate to the Integrations tab.
  2. Select the Mesh Integration card, and click Connect. 
  3. Choose what you want to integrate (Billing, &/or Alerts), and press Continue.  
  4. Copy the Gradient API Key. Note that each integration is assigned a unique API Key. Save this key in a secure location. It will only be available once.
  5. Click OPEN VENDOR PORTAL
    1. This will open a new tab on the Mesh site; choose your correct portal 
  6. Login to Mesh and Navigate to settings, Gradient and paste in your API Key
  7. Press Submit, then press Gradient Sync. 
  8. Return to Gradient, refresh the page and press the next button.
  9. Map your Accounts 
  10. Map your Service(s)
  11. Review and Confirm
  12. Return to Mesh and Press Gradient Sync.  This will import your usage for use right away.
  13. Returning to Gradient, navigate to the billing page and filter by vendor to see your results.
  14. Reconcile!

     

To update your mappings after initial setup, you can select the integration card and configure and update your account or service mapping. 


Disconnecting the Integration

  1. Login to Synthesize and navigate to the Integrations tab.
  2. Filter to Connected Integrations
  3. Select the Mesh Integration card, and click Configure. 
  4. Press Disconnect and Confirm.  


Disconnecting this integration will remove the authentication settings and all account and service mapping. You can reconnect this integration, but you will need to remap your account and services.
